Hello, Don here,thanks again for checking out Golf Lessons Online Review. Golf obviously has been a passion of mine ever since I was 13 years old and I’ve been reviewing online golf swing lessons and aids for over 15 years and I take a lot of pride in providing honest and unbiased opinions on any of the products that we review.
Not being from a Sunbelt state meant our golf season always seemed too short and any gains I would make in one season seemed to have to be relearned the following spring. I have always looked for the best programs to aid my golf game and despite a lack of adequate practice time (and adequate talent according to my golfing buddies!) I have managed to maintain my handicap within a range of 6-12 for the last 2 decades.
I remember the first product I tried and reviewed. Without naming any names so I don’t get into trouble, it was a set of audio tapes by a well respected golf teacher who has many PGA Tour pros as clients. Anyways, the audio tapes were meant to be listened to in your car and without a word of a lie they were so dry and boring that I almost fell asleep and drove off a cliff ! So let’s just say I never really recommended that product.
The way I work now is that I either personally review each product myself or I have someone else do it to a set of standards that I set out. The reasonsimply, is that some of the products may not apply to me. Like, if we want to review a product on “Golfing for the beginner” then it wouldn’t be very accurate for me to review the product or program when I’ve been golfing for 30 years; or, if there is a product for Seniors or Ladies then again I can’t necessarily put myself in their shoes and give you an honest review. But rest assured that I have final say on every review that you will see on this site and I think I set my standards pretty high. (As an aside, we’ve looked at quite a few products for women and senior golfers and really haven’t found many great ones that I would recommend. A lot of them seem to be quite poorly done and really don’t offer much more other than advising to stay fit which seems like pretty common sense for any golfer. But really most of the programs we have reviewed here will apply just as well for men, women, seniors, juniors or whoever. We all need to get better around the greens, keep the ball in the fairway, and maximize our distance; so no matter what sex, age or level you are at there should be some good information for you here!)
